These imaginary historical portraits, which by-the-by reflect my interest in eighteenth century dolls, are an off-shoot of my Writers’ Houses series. Not necessarily occupants of the buildings, many of these women are more often than not secondary, peripheral or even tiny bit players in the writers’ lives.
